A history for every watch

Keep the watch record beyond a single job.

A place for every detail

Connect enquiries, findings and conversations.

A clearer next step

Follow each job from receipt through service and handover.

THE WORKSHOP, CONNECTED

Less searching. More time at the bench.

A customer's call, a watch in the safe, a quote awaiting a reply. Bring the moving parts of your workshop into one place, through to payment and handover.

Customers & watch records

Keep contact details, addresses and watch information together. Connect a customer's enquiries and jobs without starting the record again each time.

Enquiries without the friction

Capture the problem while you're on the phone or at the counter. Add the reference, calibre and other watch details as you learn more.

Receipt & storage

Record the watch's arrival, create its job and assign a storage location. Keep a history of location changes as it moves through the workshop.

Photos, assessment & tests

Capture condition and work photos, record findings, and keep initial and final test results alongside the job.

Quotes with the detail intact

Build structured quotes from a reusable product catalogue. Distinguish fixed, indicative and to-be-confirmed prices, and preserve the quote once sent.

Service through handover

Record service notes, parts and tasks, manage additional work, issue invoices and record payment, collection or dispatch. Customer decisions and messages stay with the job.

FROM FIRST CALL TO HANDOVER

Built around the way work arrives.

Start with what you know. Add the detail as the watch moves from enquiry to your bench.

  1. Take the enquiry

Add the customer, the reported problem and the watch details you have. Full identification can follow.

  2. Receive the watch

Record arrival and storage, then open the job. Keep the physical watch connected to its record.

  3. Assess & quote

Capture findings, record initial tests where useful, and build a clear proposal for the work.

  4. Complete & hand over

Record service work and final tests, send an invoice and document payment, collection or dispatch. Secure links let customers review decisions without an account.

CARE FOR THE RECORD, TOO

Workshop records deserve proper boundaries.

Separate workshop data

Workshop access is checked against membership, with database-level separation between businesses.

Controlled customer access

Customer links are scoped to the record or action shared with them. Internal workshop notes stay internal.

A record of the decision

Sent quotes are preserved. Customer acceptance and decline are recorded, with an activity history for the job.

GROWING WITH THE WORKSHOP

A focused start. A longer view.

Available in the current product

Customers and watches, enquiries, receipt and storage, photos, assessments, quotes and approvals, service records, testing, invoicing, customer payments and handover.

Planned next

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

A few practical questions.

Who is HoroBench for?

Independent watchmakers and small workshops that want customer and watch records, photographs, service work, quotes, invoices and conversations in one place.

Do I need every watch detail to create an enquiry?

No. Start with the customer and the problem they report. Add watch identification and technical details as they become available, then record receipt when the watch arrives.

Does my customer need a HoroBench account?

No. Customers can review quotes, additional work, shared photos and invoices through secure links. They can respond or pay an eligible invoice without creating an account.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

HoroBench runs in a web browser and its layouts adapt to smaller screens. You can open it at the counter, at your desk or alongside the bench without installing a separate app.

Does it handle invoicing, payments and shipping?

Yes. You can issue invoices, record payments, and record collection or dispatch. Workshops with a configured Stripe connection can offer an online invoice payment link. Shipping is recorded, not booked with a carrier.

Does it connect to my Microsoft 365 or Gmail inbox?

Direct Microsoft 365 and Gmail connections are planned, but are not currently available. Customer messaging in HoroBench uses the platform's email service and keeps those conversations with the job.

How much does HoroBench cost?

Hobby is free, with one user and two new service jobs per calendar month. Workshop and Workshop Pro have additional capacity, but online paid checkout is not available. Contact us to discuss a managed plan.

Can I take my workshop data with me?

An authorised workshop user can export core workshop records as a JSON file from Settings. Contact us if you need help with other records or account closure.
