Who is responsible for your data?

We are the controller of information about HoroBench account holders, people who contact us and visitors to this site. A workshop controls the customer, watch and job information it enters into HoroBench; we process that information to provide the service to the workshop under our data processing terms. Watch owners should contact their workshop first about their service records.

Information we handle and why

• Accounts and workshops: names, email addresses, password credentials, membership, settings, sign-in and security records. We use these to provide the account and protect the service (contract and legitimate interests in security).
• Workshop records: customer contact details, watch details and photographs, enquiries, service notes, quotes, messages, invoices, payments and handover records. We process these on the workshop’s instructions to operate the service.
• Contact and support: your message and contact details, so we can respond and resolve issues (legitimate interests or steps towards a contract).
• Commercial administration: plan and invoice details where applicable, to manage agreements and meet accounting obligations (contract and legal obligation).
• Optional website analytics: if you consent, Google Analytics records page visits, page titles, browser and device information, a cookie-based client identifier and coarse location derived from the connection’s IP address. We use this to understand and improve HoroBench (consent). Google states that IP addresses from UK visitors are discarded before they are logged or stored.

We do not use workshop customer information for analytics or to advertise to watch owners. We do not use advertising cookies, and Google advertising storage and personalisation remain disabled. See our cookie information.

Who receives information?

Authorised members of your workshop can access its records. Customers receive only the particular content their workshop shares through secure links. We use service providers for hosting and storage (Microsoft Azure), transactional email (Resend), optional website analytics (Google Analytics), and, when a workshop connects payments, Stripe. Those providers process information needed for their role. We may disclose information when required by law.

Where information is handled and how long it is kept

Our primary application hosting is in the UK. Service providers, including Google, may process information in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use the transfer protections required by applicable law. Account and workshop records remain while the account is active and are then handled under our deletion, legal-record and backup procedures. Analytics retention is controlled through the Google Analytics property; aggregated reporting may be retained separately from user and event-level data. Your rights

Depending on your circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain uses. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time using “Cookie settings” on a public HoroBench page. Contact us at hello@horobench.com. If your request concerns a workshop’s customer records, we may refer it to the workshop as controller. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
